How to invite close relatives to Poland?
Invitation for Close Relatives
We all know that inviting close relatives to Poland (mother, father, spouse, children) is usually possible only through a voivodeship invitation. However, there is an exception.
Who Can Use a Notarized Invitation
This exception applies to persons under international protection. They may use a notarized invitation.
Step-by-Step Guide — How to Obtain a Notarized Invitation
- Prepare the invitation in free form, specifying the relevant consulate and the personal details of both the inviting and invited parties.
- Certify the invitation with a notary along with a copy of your residence permit.
What Other Documents Are Required for a Visa Application
1. Proof of Financial Means
- Bank statement showing income for the last three months and/or an employment contract (umowa o pracę, umowa zlecenia, etc.).
- If you run a sole proprietorship (JDG — Jednoosobowa Działalność Gospodarcza), you must provide your latest tax declaration (for monthly settlements) or a copy of your PIT declaration for the previous year with confirmation of submission to the tax office (UPO).
- A current bank statement showing the account balance.
2. Rental Agreement
Take into account the validity period of your rental agreement. If only a few months remain until the end of the contract, this may affect the validity period of the visa.
3. Standard Visa Application Package
- Insurance
- Photographs
- Completed application form
- Copies of passport pages with personal data
- Other standard documents
Important Additional Documents
Additional documents may also be required, such as:
- Decision granting international protection;
- Documents confirming family relationship;
- Other documents (at the discretion of the Consul).
