How to apply to a Polish university?

WHERE TO START?

The admission season (rekrutacja) to universities will begin very soon.
This year, Polish universities have again “tightened the rules” for international applicants.
And on our side, the situation is not that bright either.

That is why we decided to dedicate the next few posts to the topic of admission, to provide you with the most up-to-date information.

📍The first step towards admission is, of course, choosing the right university and program.

There is a huge choice in Poland – 43 public universities alone.
The number of private ones is even greater.

That is why during admission consultations I always advise to take care of this issue in advance, because the choice is not an easy one.

📍HOW TO CHOOSE?
The easiest way is to start with aggregators where all institutions and their rankings are collected. For example, perspektywy.pl or otouczelnie.pl, to get an overview and compare institutions and programs.

📍On the portal Studyfinder (study.gov.pl) you will find programs for foreigners who do not know Polish, or for those who want to study in a foreign language.

📍UNIVERSITY WEBSITES
Yes, they are often not easy to navigate. But the information there is usually up to date.

📍EDUCATION FAIRS (targi edukacyjne) – at such events you can get to know universities better and receive the latest information first-hand. Often students work there, so you can ask them about dormitories, study workload, and things you won’t find on official websites.

📍CHATS
And of course, parent chats are still popular. On Telegram, there are several groups where parents of students and applicants communicate, e.g. the channel “Polski Student”.
